The main components of the machine tool
(1) Spindle box
The spindle box is fixed at the left end of the bed, and is internally equipped with a spindle and transmission shaft, as well as mechanisms for speed change, direction change, lubrication, etc. The front end of the spindle can be equipped with accessories such as three jaw chucks and four jaw chucks for clamping workpieces.
(2) Feed box
The feed box is fixed on the left front side of the bed to change the lead of the processed thread or the feed rate of the motorized feed.
(3) Chute box
The slide box is fixed at the bottom of the bed saddle, and its function is to transmit the motion transmitted by the feed box through the light screw or lead screw to the tool holder, so that the tool holder can perform longitudinal feed, transverse feed, or thread turning motion
(4) Bed saddle
The bed saddle is located at the upper part of the bed and can move longitudinally along the guide rails on the bed. It is equipped with a middle slide plate, a rotary table, a small slide plate, and a tool holder, which can make the cutting tools move longitudinally, horizontally, or diagonally.
(5) Tailstock
The tailstock is installed on the tailstock guide rail of the bed, which can be adjusted and moved longitudinally along the guide rail, and then fixed in the desired position to adapt to different lengths of workpieces.
(6) Bed body
The bed is fixed on the left and right bed legs. The bed is the basic support component of the lathe, and all main components of the lathe are installed on the bed. It ensures accurate relative positions between the components and bears the cutting force and weight of each component.
